Xona Games developers, Jason Doucette and Matthew Doucette, beat Super-C (NES) in under 17 minutes at PAX East 2012. Videographic proof:

Apologies for the broken controller. It was really bad. Thanks to Wayne Muise (of MudMonger Games) for getting a fixed controller for Jason! Also, Super-C is Contra 2 and called Super Contra in the arcades.

*We beat the game in 0:16:28 (0 hours, 16 minutes, and 28 seconds) to be exact, with a faulty controller at the beginning, if you count out the time the game was paused to swap controllers (19 seconds), and count from when the game starts at 0:00:09 and until it ends 0:16:56.
