Matthew's 2006 Nissan 350Z.

Statistics:

• 300 hp (224 kW; 304 PS) at 6,400 rpm
• 260 lb·ft (353 N·m) at 4,800 rpm

The engine is an improvement over the 2003..05 version which produced 287 hp and 274 lb·ft of torque. Even though the peak torque is lower (260 vs. 274), it is flatter and performs better.

Modifications:

• Alpine stereo system (IDA-x100 face plate, two 8” subwoofers, subwoofer box, amp)
• K&N RE-0930-L High-Flow Air Filter
• brake upgrade (Power Stop KC114-26 Z26 Extreme Street Warrior Performance Brake Kit: drilled/slotted rotors, powder coated calipers, stainless steel, carbon fiber infused ceramic pads, “extreme performance” rating, by Power Stop Brakes from TDot Performance)

• weight reduction -- removed spare tire and tools (still have them). Dropped curb weight from 3,339.0 lbs down to 3,268.8 lbs.

Restoration:

• body (minor body work + paint job by Gordon Pothier Auto Body)
• stock wheels (sanding + Brilliant Silver K23 paint by @redfurndetailing / CarStar)
• headlights (polish + clear coat by @redfurndetailing / CarStar)
• detailing (body polish + wax by @redfurndetailing)

Maintenance / History:

• never seen salt roads
• under carriage in excellent condition

My Purchase:

I specifically sought out a 350Z, considering ten different 350Z at the time. I test drove four (two 2003, two 2006) and put two on the hoist (one 2003, one 2006) before making a decision. I wanted a 2006 due to its relation to the 35th anniversary model ( updated engine, bi-xenon projectors, a revised front fascia, new LED rear lights, and changes to the interior trim) and minor fixes from previous years.
