We are Rubik's Cube fans, and can both solve the cube. Jason's best time is 14.81 seconds and my best is 27.67 seconds. I won BlackBerry's Rubik's Cube competition at Jalloo 2013. Here's more of our records:
Jason Doucette's Rubik's Cube Records:

In his 15.45 second solve, the scramble was random moves using a Dayan Zhanchi cube.
Jason's method: Fridrich: full 57 algorithm OLLfull 21 algorithm PLL, almost all intuitive F2L except for 13+ algorithms.
His previous best single time of 15.45 placed him at #2,666 in the world (1 in 2,622,281), and #76 in Canada (1 in 443,947).

Matthew Doucette's Rubik's Cube Records:
I don't have any impressive videos. Back in 2008 I posted a (now) slow 46.15 second solve. I'll have to post an update someday.
My records:
- lucky: 27.67s — (2014-MAY-5)
- non-lucky: 33.44s — (2014-JAN-21)
- avg of 5: 36.55s — (2014-JAN-21)
- 3 of 5 avg: 36.56s — (2014-JAN-21)
- avg of 10: 40.91s — (2014-JAN-21)
- 10 of 12 avg: 39.06s — (2014-JAN-21)
I won BlackBerry's Rubik's Cube competition at Jalloo 2013.
As of May 5th, 2014, my 27.67s solve would place me #446 in Canada, #3,023 in North America, and #14,867 in world if performed at a competition. As you can see this is not that impressive. A lot of people cube! See World Cube Association for country, continent, and world rankings.
First Inspiration:
This 10 second solve by Yu Nakajima (prior world champion cuber) was Jason's first inspiration, sharing it with me:
